It was brilliant to see so many people today.
In fact we had an all-time record attendance of 154 entries despite many of our regulars unable to attend. We were very busy! Luckily we have the nine stands and they coped well.
Jane rattled out the entries on the till while Jim was constantly topping up traps and drifting over the very muddy ground. Lots of new faces enjoyed themselves alongside many old friends to produce a classic Boxing Day shoot.
Giveaway chocolate bunnies were popular but it’s seems that most of you have had extra helpings of Christmas lunch yesterday as Kevin wasn’t slaving so much over his stove and a few homemade mince pies returned home.
At one point we had to send out for more ammunition and our supplies of clays have been more heavily depleted than we thought they would be.
With the wind constantly blowing and gusting in places the targets were quite variable and more challenging than designed but everybody seemed to be hitting a few.
After numerous rollovers the Pool Shoot has finally been won and shared by both Colin Barrow and Darren Cross. Good Shooting!
Have a great New Year and see you soon.
